Mother Nature... or Eve...or even a tree

This past Friday was the Halloween party where I work. I was pretty excited the week before because I was trying to come up with an awesome idea with a co-worker (Allison). As the day drew near, I got a little less excited since we hadn't thought of anything amazing. That resulted in me making a costumer rather last minute. I mean.. I work at a school so the students either a) wouldn't get my costumer (wanted to be Artemis) or b) the idea was to involved to actually wear to work.

So, of course, my procrastinating self ended up making a costume Thursday night. I decided to be Mother Nature. Mainly because the only thing I saw in our house that could be altered and not needed was a green sheet. That, paired with our fake foliage sparked my idea. At about 8:00 Thursday night, I started cutting away. I made the sheet into a quick/easy drape-dress. Nothing fancy, no measurements... just something that had a hole for a head and two holes for my arms. Then, I grabbed our fake leaves and went to stapling. I intended to cover the entire sheet in leaves, but then I realized how long it was taking and I gave up. So... here I am!
I even have flower bracelets/anklets.   :)  The girls couldn't quite figure out what I was. I had people saying I was Eve, a tree, "fall." I stopped calling myself Mother Nature and just went with whatever they called me.

And, here is me and Allison. She ended up deciding to be Medusa. I think she did pretty awesome figuring out how to put all of those snakes in her hair! All in all, it went well.
